In depth

Verdict

Amelia's Dance was only fifth at her beloved Taunton after earlier seconds at Wincanton and Kempton and goes best at sharper tracks than this. Gary Moore’s string is going well and Rob Hargreaves takes 10lb off the Market Rasen runner-up Parikarma again. Magical Maggie won in a higher grade at Ludlow but has been raised 7lb and Walk Of No Shame has gone up 4lb for winning at Southwell. GREYVAL, a decent novice, was making her handicap debut and seasonal reappearance when sixth at Ascot. She only weakened on the run-in and her yard can do little wrong at present. Lime Avenue is in danger of becoming disappointing while Spring Note may find this too short but Mary is unexposed and worth a second look. Mucuna hasn’t raced since July last year.
