In depth

Verdict

A very interesting finale as a number of these should go on to better things once they gain experience. God Of The Kop's third at Chepstow looks the best hurdles form on offer but that was over 3m. Bygones Sovereign hasn't raced since being beaten at odds-on at Towcester in January while point-to-point winner Kaki De La Pree has his first start under Rules after more than a year on the sidelines. It's not easy to defy a penalty in a bumper but PUFFIN BILLY achieved that feat at Ascot at the start of the month when Hell's Spirit was back in fourth. Oliver Sherwood's four-year-old looks a nice prospect over hurdles and may be the one to beat if handling the obstacles.
