      Verdict

African Star was an 80/1 chance when scoring on fast ground at Lingfield so conditions should be in his favour while Graham has continued in good form since beating two rivals easily at Salisbury. GORDON GREY looked a likely future winner when narrowly beaten at Newmarket but stumbled at the start at Chepstow and never got into contention. Ian Williams' charge can take this though Medieval Gold is probably better than we have seen so far and makes his handicap debut from a lowly mark. Ragosina won over the trip at Newmarket and wasn't stopping when stepped up to 1m4f there earlier this month.
