Galient, last seen when down the field in the Ascot Stakes at the royal meeting, has to be considered on his return to hurdles but Nicky Henderson's gelding does not look to be as well treated as BALLYDUB, who is preferred ahead of Green Mile. Anything trained by Tony Martin has to be considered and the son of Montjeu has to be considered back over hurdles today having failed to finish in his last two starts over fences. The Alner's Miko de Beauchene has not run since being pulled up in the Scottish Grand National but went well first time up over hurdles last season so he has to be respected but may be too high in the weights. Kim Bailey's Sarde has more to do than when successful at Uttoxeter last time racing off a 7lb higher mark, while Richard Guest's Dan Buoy has been raised 11lbs for his Wetherby win and now has to race off a career high mark. Jonjo O'Neill's Don't Push It disappointed in the Paddy Power Gold Cup and could be of interest back over timber but it is hard to get away from Ballyddub. A former point-to-point winner, who showed promise on his only start in a bumper, the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding has done little wrong in two starts over hurdles, latterly when chasing home the useful Punchestowns on his handicap debut at Cheltenham. A reproduction of that form may well suffice for the five-year-old.
