Chester Vase winner YOUNG RASCAL (NAP) was rested after struggling at Epsom in the Derby but returned to action with a Group 3 success over 1m3f here. There looks even more to come from the Haggas colt and he’s preferred to Weekender. The latter returns to 1m4f for the first time this year after placing in the Irish St Leger while Morando attempts today’s trip for the first time having finished runner-up in Listed company over 1m2f. Communique won a Listed race at Newmarket with a below par Raheen House behind and has gone close again at Ascot subsequently but Desert Skyline has plenty to find with the selection on last month’s running here.
