    In depth

    Verdict

No mare aged older than six has won this long-established Grade 2 handicap since 2003. Nicky Henderson has won it four times since the turn of the century and is mob-handed today. LILLY PEDLAR is still seeking a first victory but better ground and a longer trip should suit and she did finish well clear of stablemate Buttsbury Lady when runner-up to Allavina at Taunton. Little River Bay started favourite for a Grade 2 at Sandown last month after completing a hat-trick here in January but she stopped quickly and was pulled up with the progressive Misty Whisky staying on into third. Marada will have stamina to prove but Rose Of Arcadia beat two subsequent winners over a furlong further at Wincanton so deserves respect and Alpha Carinae placed over 3m at Doncaster.
