Verdict

Having won the last two renewals, Nicky Henderson bids for a hat-trick with the returning Mono Man. Unbeaten in a couple of bumpers, he should be thereabouts at the finish although his form is no better than Colour Squadron's impressive debut win at Chepstow last month and Philip Hobbs wastes no time in sending the latter over hurdles. Broomfield is another hurdling debutant to note, but experience could play a big part in this and IT'S A GIMME is preferred. He was beaten only a head by the potentially smart Hazy Tom, who has won again since, on his first start over timber at Ascot last month and is taken to go one better in this.
