Patrick Chamings has done a brilliant job with What A Welcome, who has now won seven of his last eight handicaps, going up 32lb in the process. He only just got up to catch YOU'RE HIRED (NAP) at Ascot and the latter, who will again be ridden by Ryan Moore, can reverse the form on slightly better terms. Infrastructure, who was engaged to run here yesterday, went up 7lb for his Salisbury victory and never got into contention at Goodwood though that didn't look his form. Compton Mill is 4lb higher than his victory at Sandown last month and this is a better race but Ashington looks a threat. A very easy winner at Brighton, he was racing from a 9lb higher mark when runner-up at Chelmsford and the easier ground conditions should play to his strengths. Now Children is one to keep an eye on as he completed a double around this time last year and has only had two runs this campaign so will be fresher than most.
