        Verdict

        With his main rivals all making their seasonal debuts, KINGSGATE CHOICE may come out best in this. Last year's Catterick Dash winner went close to following up when finding only the higher-rated Tangerine Trees too good in a conditions race at Musselburgh last month and gets the nod. Heeraat landed a double at York last season and may end up a Group class sprinter this year and Compton is another four-year-old of interest reverting to sprinting for new trainer Robert Cowell. A Group 3 winner at the Curragh last June, Definightly hasn't raced in a handicap for some time and is not easily overlooked while Taajub is another to consider on his length-defeat in a Group 3 race over track and trip in September.
