Verdict

D'bai chased home Glorious Journey in a Group 2 at Doncaster last Saturday but doesn’t always find a lot off the bridle and it’s no surprise that William Buick spurns him again in favour of AL SUHAIL. The latter had only two rivals when landing the odds at Haydock earlier this month but looks the one to beat on his third in the Summer Mile at Ascot in July. Silent Escape is a third Godolphin entry but she has yet to prove herself on the surface while River Nymph has had a break, though will handle any give in the ground better than most and holds With Thanks on the form book. Albasheer rather hung fire on his belated reappearance at Salisbury but may have benefited from the run with Tomfre possibly best of the rest.
