      Verdict

      War Brigade was headed right on the line at Ripon and is only a pound out of the handicap. After several decent runs this year, Emenem came good at Sandown but BATTLE OF WILLS appears to be making giant strides. He made all last time at Ripon and the extra yardage shouldn’t be a problem as he’s a half-brother to winning hurdler Mezajy. Frontispiece can be forgiven his run at Kempton as he doesn’t enjoy artificial surfaces but this trip is unknown territory.
