Verdict

Richard Hannon trained last year’s winner and Lusail, a dual Group 2 winner over 6f, is preferred to stablemate Gubbass. The latter is partnered by Ryan Moore but has a bit to find with the Group 1 Prix Morny winner Perfect Power, who has every chance and is in the 2000 Guineas along with ANGEL BLEU. The Vintage Stakes winner ended last year with a couple of Group 1 victories in France under Frankie Dettori and the latter can steer him home in this. Flaming Rib showed good progress over 6f last year culminating in a Listed success at Doncaster and is reportedly being aimed at the French 2000 Guineas but The Wizard Of Eye looks up against it.
