This looks open but SEA OF HEAVEN looked a stayer of interest under the skilled tutelage of Sir Mark Prescott last season and was supported to make a winning return to action in the Northumberland Plate consolation race, The attempt to make all proved beyond him but that was his first start for over nine months and he should be spot-on now. The Sea The Stars gelding is one of few here likely to improve significantly on achievements to date and is well worth the chance to continue last season's progression. Diamond Joel and Air Squadron both look sorts to maintain last season's useful staying form and appeal as dangers, especially the Channon gelding after such a promising reappearance at Chester behind Always Resolute. However, tough stayer Sweet Selection, up 12lb for her two wins this term but still on the upgrade, looks the main threat with Ryan Moore aboard for Hughie Morrison.
