Shernando bounced back from a couple of disappointing efforts to run Bradbury to a nose at Chester last week. He should make a bold bid to defy top weight here. Resplendent Light ended a long losing run at Chepstow last week but a 6lb penalty may have put him too close in the weights to AMAZING KING. Philip Kirby's seven-year-old is proving remarkably versatile and appears to have improved this year, finishing a close second at Ayr earlier this month after winning at Musselburgh. He still doesn't look badly handicapped and can get back on the winning trail in this. Megalala won at Brighton last month but was well beaten upped in grade at Epsom next time and may struggle again here.
