        Verdict

        Kimifive reappears on a decent mark but Persuasion never looked like winning when favourite at Haydock last time and it’s now two years since he got his head in front. Able Kane showed a bit more at Goodwood and Top Secret found only one too good here over a mile when returning to action. Popmaster is out of sorts and best over 6f but Hickory remains unexposed on this surface, as does King Cabo. MISTER BLUEBIRD found plenty for pressure in a rough race at Goodwood last Sunday. He is penalised but can go close again if his efforts haven’t taken their toll.

        King Cabo (USA) 11-2 (9-9) Led on rail, ridden and narrowly headed inside final furlong, rallied gamely to lead again last strides, won at Lingfield 7f hcp (5) gf in May beating Revolutionary Man (8-10) by hd, 7 ran.
