It's possible Clear Spring was flattered by his defeat of Intibaah at Haydock as he was getting 12lb from the second and the favourite Louis The Pious ran no sort of race. He's probably worth opposing under a penalty while Golden Steps is closely matched with Fast Track on last year's running at Newmarket. The latter lacks a recent run, however, as does Englishman. ACCESSION has a bit to find with Valbchek on their run together at Lingfield last month. But that was over 7f on Polytrack and Charlie Fellowes' charge has since run well behind Eastern Impact in a decent handicap over this trip at Newmarket - he makes most appeal today.
