Nebuchadnezzar didn’t stay the longer trip at Haydock and shouldn’t be ignored but Eddiemaurice is a Kempton specialist who has to be ridden for speed. Kenny George has been thriving over longer distances and Royal Ruby hasn’t raced over a trip this short in almost two years. Mon Palois could also get outpaced while Ferrobin remains out of sorts. GLOCKENSPIEL came up against an above-average novice at Bangor and still has time on his side. Tom George’s five-year-old can strike the right note in this as an opening handicap mark of 117 looks about right.
