In depth

Verdict

John Gosden’s yard had leading claims in the previous division and run another promising filly and Oaks entry in this with FABULIST likely to prove popular. She could only manage fifth over a mile at Newcastle on December’s debut but is a half-sister to a winner over today’s longer trip. Haydock fourth Katiesheidinlisa is another expected to improve for the extra distance and Island Reel posted a much better effort over today’s trip at Wolverhampton last time. Headgear is applied to Tamachan but Scenesetter has the more recent form with a debut third at Kempton while Sneaky Peek is preferred to Lollipop Lady of the newcomers.
