There has been no Irish-trained winner of this since 2005 so history is against the hat-trick seeking Filey Bay and Icare Allen, who are likely to be prominent in the betting. Glory And Fortune is carrying 5lb more than when successful last year but will handle conditions. Highway One O Two beat Hacker Des Places at Ascot in October but the latter probably needed the run and scored subsequently at Cheltenham. He is penalised but gets on well with Angus Cheleda, who keeps the ride with Harry Cobden partnering Rubaud, who makes his handicap debut. No Ordinary Joe holds Faivoir on Kempton running but we like the look of AUCUNRISQUE back over hurdles. Chris Gordon’s runner has been chasing this term but won four times over timber last season and also finished fourth in the Supreme Novices’ – a mark of 138 is not excessive. Gary Moore always has one laid out for this and though Teddy Blue has only won a maiden so far he is certainly worth a second look having finished ahead of stablemate Yorksea in the Gerry Fielden here earlier in the season. The maiden Master Chewy could also go well at a price while Monviel remains unexposed.
