Admiral Peary gets the vote over Sonevafushi, Dungarvans Choice and Blunham Hill in a fairly open contest. Charlie Egerton had a winner over fences at the weekend with Graphic Approach, and although he was a bit fortunate to collect, he nevertheless travelled well throughout, and it is another Tony McCoy-partnered inmate that we look to here in the shape of Admiral Pearie who will be having only his third start over the bigger obstacles. He was held on the run-in at Uttoxeter last time but shaped better than on his chase debut at Plumpton where his jumping left a lot to be desired, and with A P back on board to do the steering, a big run is anticipated. Sonevafushi ran on after losing his place at Cheltenham and is vastly more experienced, but has to give nine-pound away to the selection which will make his task all that harder. Dungarvans Choice also has plenty of weight, while Blunham Hill lines up in good form but has more on his plate here. Trust Fund in contrast has takes a drop in class, and he can go well providing his jumping does not let him down as it did in the Devon Marathon at Exeter last time. Tony McCoy has won twice over hurdles on Admiral Peary in the past, and can guide him to another success, this time over fences.
