MISTER QUASIMODO won impressively at Chepstow last week and can repeat the dose here at the main expense of Chance Du Roy and Chaninbar. This looks a fairly run-of-the-mill handicap with the whole field fairly exposed, however it looks a similar field to the one that Mister Quasimodo dispatched with recently. He handles testing ground well and whilst his form has not always been consistent, he looks the horse to side with. Chaninbar has had the cheek-pieces on for his last two starts but has only put in modest efforts. He is not to be ignored now returned to fences, especially as he can now race off a 4lb lower mark today. Kew Jumper, aged 11, should come on for his fourth at Lingfield last time but he arguably needs further on better ground, whilst Chance Du Roy is a course winner who should be fit after two recent hurdling runs. He tackles fences for the first time this afternoon and if jumping proficiently he should get involved. Its Crucial looks potentially well-treated off a mark of 109 given some decent runs off marks in the 120's, whilst Only Dreams is closely linked with Kew Jumper on the Pret A Thou run at Lingfield and this former hunter chaser might just find this too tough a test. An open handicap despite the small field, and the nod is given to Mister Quasimodo.
