Top weight Henry Hall has been a model of consistency recently but has had little respite from the handicapper as a result and may again have to settle for minor honours with Whistler getting the vote to give Milton Bradley another sprint handicap success. The selection is more consistent now than in the past and ran another good race on ground softer than ideal at Goodwood earlier in the week. Conditions are more suitable here and, off what still looks a favourable mark, the six-year-old looks the one to be on. Strathclyde has been raised just 3lbs for his win at Ascot last time and has to be respected if in the same mood again, while Hufflepuff could be interesting now that John Dunlop is back among the winners. Texas Gold now looks to be too high in the handicap and a bigger threat to the selection may come from Fly More. He too is trained by Milton Bradley and has to be respected but we just prefer the claims of Whistler.
