Verdict

Pleasant Valley went close at Newbury three weeks ago and could get involved stepping up in distance while Gwafa is expected to improve on his debut effort at Newmarket. But the latter finished behind VENEZIA on that occasion and Martyn Meade's colt has since run well when fourth in the King George V Handicap at Ascot. He'll prove hard to beat with a similar effort back in maiden company. Three Peaks has 10lb to find with the selection on today's terms while newcomer Stella Bellissima, a half-sister to Irish St Leger winner Duncan, will need to be above average to figure.
