Delena is taken to win the opener at the expense of Senora Snoopy and One Gulp. The selection has his first run of the season for champion trainer Paul Nicholls and she showed enough in her previous runs last season to warrant respect. She was good enough to win a bumper at Taunton a couple of seasons ago and although she is taking her time in getting her head in front she will not lack for fitness so is therefore taken to break her maiden hurdles tag. Senora Snoopy comes from an in form yard that has made the long journey from Yorkshire. Again she was good enough to land an average bumper race a few seasons ago and the fact that she has not won since makes her a touch frustrating. She has though run well in defeat and if fit from a lay off she can enter the frame. One Gulp is the only four year old in the race. Having said that she won a Haydock bumper last season and contested against the very best bumper horses around with credit. This is her debut over hurdles this afternoon and although the stables runners usually come on for their runs she should be noted in the betting market. But for the winner we return to Delena
