Araucaria started favourite for a Listed bumper at Aintree and though only fourth behind Big Time Billy showed enough to suggest she can make a very nice hurdler. She had earlier beaten today's rival and subsequent winner My Cool Lady by a massive 24 lengths at Punchestown and is one for the future. Ballinahow Lady, a winner between the flags, has improved since stepping up in trip over timber but may just find this on the short side. Another winning point-to-pointer, Model County Lass, probably found the ground too quick at Listowel in June and is better judged on her narrow defeat by Chasing Clouds at Sligo earlier. MAGGIE CONNOLLY landed a Wexford bumper in July before a reasonable run behind Swiftmarc on the Flat at Tramore. She's the type to make a useful hurdler and can take this interesting contest with the progressive Shop Dj another to keep an eye on.
