VAUTOUR's first foray into chasing has been hugely anticipated. Unbeaten in five starts since joining Willie Mullins, his three Grade 1 victories earlier this year bore the hallmark of a top prospect and with a pedigree packed with stamina it will be a huge shock if he doesn't make a successful start over the bigger obstacles. The four-year-old Clarcam is another bright prospect who was still in touch when falling in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham before a close second in a Grade 1 at Aintree. He's another with chaser written all over him and the fact that his trainer runs him over fences at such a young age speaks volumes. Minella Foru, a Grade 3 winner over timber, made a good impression on his chasing bow behind Sizing Granite at Naas and is certain to have benefited from the experience while Vinconte Du Noyer did well to get so close to a couple of very promising types at Navan and he could be the one to take advantage if the chasing newcomers don't come up to scratch.
