The very smart Mengli Khan won this for Gordon Elliott last year and the stable can strike again with BATTS ROCK. He won a couple of fast-ground races on the Flat in July and was by no means disgraced when taking on tough handicappers in a Premier event at Listowel. Markhan also represents the yard and he's been in winning form on the level though wouldn't want much more rain. Daybreak Boy has also been in action on the Flat since beaten narrowly in a Punchestown maiden hurdle in May and his experience puts him right in the picture.
