In depth

Verdict

Winning bumper Avoca King put a couple of poor efforts behind him when a good third at Thurles and looks certain to give a good account but ITS THE ICE I LIKE is given another chance to prove himself over hurdles. Robert Tyner's charge landed a point-to-point in April and returned to action in a very strong maiden over timber at Punchestown where he never figured. A recent bumper success suggests he's ready to gain his first victory over hurdles. Hawk Flight has won just once in 31 career starts but ran quite well behind Reizovic over timber at Naas last month and should be kept on the right side. Knockmehill Lady's third behind Savello at Wexford was a fine effort but she failed to build on that on her subsequent start.
