Understate has been very well supported in both starts but never looked likely to catch Wentwood at Listowel on Sunday. He'll be fancied to gain compensation though Manzil, from the in-form Dermot Weld yard, has to be a threat after a promising run at the Curragh. Both could be thwarted here by CALIFORNIA JUMBO, who missed the break but stayed on late in what looked a strong Leopardstown maiden last month and will come on markedly for the experience. Griffyndor, who had been running well at Dundalk, also showed up nicely in a Leopardstown maiden last time and is no forlorn hope.
