Bale O'Shea won this from 11lb lower a year ago and returned to form at Punchestown during the week when runner-up to Fool's Wildcat. He should give another good account though it looks a slightly tougher race this year. Akram had some decent form in the UK for Jonjo O'Neill and a couple of runs on the level during the summer will have kept him ticking over while the youngster Double Seven was having only his second start when landing a Sligo maiden and is very much on the upgrade. CONCRETE AND CLAY doesn't look an obvious choice and he's not the easiest to catch right but there was plenty to like about his recent third behind Table Mountain on the Flat at Navan and he doesn't look badly treated for what will only be his fifth start over hurdles. Tony Martin has a quartet of entries and Tijuana Dancer, a good third behind Golden Grimshaw at Down Royal in August, could prove the pick under Paul Carberry.
