In depth

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won the last three of these and though ROYAL NAVY SHIP has been very disappointing he gets a chance to redeem his reputation here. The $500,000 son of War Front will be tackling fast ground for the first time and drops back to a mile after finding 1m3f, Group 2 company and soft ground too much at Longchamp. The tough and in-form Cape Wolfe will ensure he doesn't have things his own way after carrying big weights to victories in handicaps while Intensical's last victory came on this track and his recent close second to Bubbly Bellini at Tipperary gives him claims. Seanie is probably better over 7f on softer ground.
