South Pacific was a short-priced beaten favourite in his last two starts last season and made his comeback in a Leopardstown handicap where he was brought down. He may not have the scope of stable companion BARBADOS, a full brother to the top-class Maybe and related to plenty of other winners, who is entered in the Derbies at Epsom and the Curragh. He had a quiet introduction over 7f at the Curragh in August and should do very much better this campaign. It's difficult to get excited about the remainder with experience so Jim Bolger's Halimi, who is by Teofilo out of a German Group 3 winner, could be a threat and he's in the Irish Derby. The John Oxx-trained Gealach is a half-brother to seven winners so is one to keep an eye on.
