Stooshie has a stamina-packed pedigree so has probably done as well as expected in bumpers, though could have been found an easier opportunity. Winning point-to-pointers Judgement Day and Sir Bob are others likely to do much better when tackling the bigger obstacles but both MORTAL and Red Jack look smart recruits to the hurdling ranks. The former started favourite on his bumper debut at Limerick in March and his supporters hardly had a moment's concern as he was always travelling well and won easily. Red Jack started off with a bumper victory here in January then won a lucrative event at Fairyhouse in April and looks certain to get into the mix.
