Tracey Collins has acquired a more than useful filly from Italy in Aoife Alainn, who beat Godolphin's odds-on Antara to land a Group 1 at the Capannelle in October. That was on soft ground and she may find this on the fast side with her penalty. John Oxx has won this four times in 10 years and there are big expectations surrounding Mesariya, who looked very promising when beating subsequent winner Siren's Song at Leopardstown despite running green. She could be a future star but the form pick has to be BANIMPIRE. Jim Bolger's filly landed Leopardstown's Group 3 Ballysax last month and showed just what a progressive type she is with a hard-fought success against some useful rivals in a Listed event at Gowran. Asheerah showed that this was her trip with a very good run behind Siren's Song at Navan and, though just held by Mesariya on a line through the winner, she's the type to carry on improving.
