Noel Meade won this last year and the in-form Caer is certain to attract attention on his handicap debut though his bumper and maiden hurdles victories were on good ground. Nibblers Charm has been in good form during the summer and was conceding 3lb to Bothar Dubh when beaten a head at Ballinrobe so must have a good chance of reversing the form on these terms. The veteran Noble Emperor hasn't run since 2016 but is very well handicapped if Tony Martin has him back to something like his best. Allez Kal won two of her three starts over hurdles last winter and a recent run on the Flat will have put her straight but a chance is taken on the fitness of KILFENORA, who will love the conditions and produced an excellent placed effort in a tough Punchestown handicap when last seen in May. It's a long time since Sayar was winning a Grade 3 novices' hurdle but it wouldn't be a shock to see a return to form.
