In depth

Verdict

CLONARD LAD was caught in the shadows of the post by the well-supported Apache Stronghold in what looked a much stronger than average maiden at Punchestown last month. He should have few problems gaining compensation, though Paul Kristian could be the fly in the ointment as he looked smart when landing two bumpers around four years ago. He hasn't been seen since falling over hurdles at Limerick last March however. Paul Nolan does exceptionally well with his point-to-point recruits so Like It Or Not, who was last seen winning by a distance at Boulta two years ago, is one to note.
