Verdict

Fine Article landed a Gowran bumper on heavy going in March and ran very well in the Champion Bumper at Punchestown the following month. He's a half-brother to Joncol and other winners and could prove useful. Killer Crow had looked a potential star when storming away with two bumpers and started long odds-on for his hurdling debut at Roscommon in September but made several mistakes and couldn't get past Talk The Lingo, who followed up in a better race at Cork. He'll start short odds again but may be worth taking on and Owen Mc is another who can make his presence felt after two unbeaten runs in bumpers. The Unsub will need to jump much better than he did at Downpatrick, though he wouldn't have been suited by the fast ground, while Flight Plan can make progress after his placed effort behind Waver at Listowel. KEPPOLS QUEEN started favourite for a similar race to this at Ballinrobe in May but couldn't quite see off King Leon, who scored again a month later. Jessica Harrington's mare looks a nice prospect and her allowance can see her home in an interesting maiden.
