Apache Gold made a bold bid to get back on the winning trail at Limerick but was caught close home by Annie Irish. He's still on a lower mark than his last victory so must be on the shortlist. FAIRY FOXGLOVE hasn't won in 19 starts but reverted to Turf at Fairyhouse last week and very nearly lost her maiden tag. She's on the same mark and can finally get off the mark. Staccato Wolf was behind in that latter event and looks held but Ucanchoose is a course and distance winner and was in very good form at this time a year ago.
