Gordon Lord Byron is better known as a sprinter but stayed on strongly when scoring over 6f at Cork and has run well over this trip in the past. Croisultan finished last of four in that latter event and though he had earlier beaten Glor Na Mara at the Curragh Jim Bolger's charge has found his form and holds Banna Boirche, Billyford and Simla Sunset on his recent victory at that track. ONE SPIRIT found only the classy Emulous too strong on her return to action in a Group 3 at the Curragh and that form looks good enough for this though Ahaaly looked potentially useful when scoring at Dundalk and plenty of three-year-olds have won this in the past.
