Verdict

CHOOKIE HAMILTON comes into this race in fine spirits and is taken to win at the expense of Amazing King and Sudden Impulse. The selection won his last race here over three furlongs shorter in June. Since then he has stepped up in trip and has performed with credit. He was not beaten far over 10 furlongs but did not fair well on a soft surface at Hamilton last time out. The quicker ground conditions will be in his favour this time around and if back to his best he will go close. Amazing King caught the eye when fourth of 15 at Beverly last time out. He had improved during the winter into a fair winning hurdler and this will no doubt be another pipe opener before he embarks on a winters hurdling campaign. Sudden Impulse has dropped in the ratings this season to what looks like a fair mark. He does have top weight to carry though and will need to show a little more before he can be relied upon.
