        Verdict

        There are quite a few here that will be open to improvement on what they have shown so far and it looks a competitive opener to the card. Hippeia looks as though she needs 7f as does Soldier's Minute and both of those are expected to play a part. VJ Day has shaped nicely so far and looks to have progress left in him and may well be even better next year with Amazing Rock another who shapes as though he'll be better in the longer term. THREE SAINTS BAY made a promising debut and, given his pedigree, should appreciate the better surface now and he's already shown that he can cope with this trip.
