In depth

Verdict

Perfect Soldier won a slightly better contest over a mile here at the start of the month and is only 3lb higher so must have a good chance of a follow-up. Josiebond was a course and distance winner last September and also won later over a mile at Redcar and is another for the shortlist. God Of Dreams has form here and won over 6f at Catterick last season but we’ll take a chance on CLOTHERHOLME, who has shown signs of ability and reappears off a plater’s mark.
