In depth
Verdict
Scargill won a similar event at Redcar for Mick Channon back in April but has yet to go close for his current connections despite being placed since. BAYTOWN KESTREL is preferred as she was predictably outclassed in last week's Queen Mary at Ascot but will be more at home in this company having won on her racecourse debut at Lingfield. Bandolier and Marti's Girl have not shown much progress since their initial efforts and are hard to fancy while Rubylicious is preferred to Straight Gin of the newcomers.
