The veteran Rasaman won this last year from a 6lb higher mark and is attempting to win for the 14th time on his 117th start. Spryt landed a four-runner maiden at Hamilton a year ago but hasn't scored since but Slemy won over this trip on fast going at Wetherby and has raced in higher-class handicaps subsequently. Honeysuckle Lil was conceding Surewecan 4lb when narrowly beaten at Carlisle last month and is 2lb better off so there's nothing between them. Shamaheart's four career victories have all been on fast going so this can go to BAJAN REBEL. Mick Easterby's mare completed a soft-ground double in April then scored over a mile on fast going at Hamilton. She ran very well when stepped up to this grade at Carlisle last time and the assessor has left her on the same mark.
