Evan Williams sends TIMOCA on the long trip north and the mare is selected to make a winning debut over hurdles, while Miss Vertical is much respected. The latter, yet another mare with potential trained by Donald McCain, showed up very well at Bangor on her hurdling debut last month. She acts with cut in the ground and should be a leading player with improvement for that run virtually assured. Archdale Lady is going the right way steadily and has her introduction here. She acts with cut and against her own sex there is every chance of a prominent showing. Ain't She A Lady was runner-up at Sedgefield over a similar trip last time and will go on the ground, so she would have to be considered as a frame player in this, while Millie Jay and Karrot Kake are both worth a check in the market. The selection, however, is Timoca. The five-year-old is sure to have been well schooled, stays well on the flat, and is rated in the mid-80s in that sphere. She has to prove herself over timber and on the ground, but her trainer would not drag her this far if he didn't think she would act on it, and we will side with her.
