In depth

Verdict

TRAPPER PEAK ended last season with a double and has started this season in the same fashion with victories at Southwell and Fakenham. He may not have finished winning yet as this looks an easier task than his latest success, despite a 7lb rise, and a five-timer is on the cards for Justin Landy’s charge. Buttevant Lady was still well beaten when runner-up in novice company at Sedgefield though had little chance up against the odds-on Len Brennan while Im Too Generous won a novice hurdle over track and trip before landing a handicap at Ayr earlier in the year. Something Brewing is fit from the Flat and races off a similar mark as when successful at Bangor in August and Nefyn Bay may prove best of the rest.
