From a shortlist of Native Coral, Super Baby, River Shanakill, My Arch and CASH MAN, it is the last-named who is fancied to come out on top. Evelyn Slack does well with the few runners that she sends to the Edinburgh track and this son of Flemensfirth looks capable of a bold show. He only has one win over fences to his name but the step back up in trip will suit and the ground should also be ideal. Regent's Secret has been kept busy this year but to little effect of late, River Shanakill shaped very nicely at Hexham but she looks a stout stayer and the track/drop in trip may not suit, whilst Categorical is slowly edging down the weights despite a sequence of consistent runs. My Arch will be fit from a recent flat run at York and he cannot be too readily dismissed on this chasing debut, Super Baby can improve on a hurdles run at Carlisle and the yard are in good nick, whilst Native Coral is a course winner and his overall level of form (bar being pulled up at Market Rasen in July) looks to have a very solid feel to it. Cash Man is given the vote in another competitive heat.
