Verdict
IDILICO (NAP) won a similar-class race here in February and scored again at Perth in the summer from Finisk River, who has subsequently completed a hat-trick in higher grade. Dianne Sayer's charge needs to bounce back from a moderate run at Sedgefield but the 9lb he receives from Half Shot may prove enough. The latter was an easy winner over fences at Sedgefield last month but is 10lb higher than his last winning mark over timber. Kilbrainy may have been unfortunate not to have reached a place at least when falling at Perth in June and could have been feeling the effects when well beaten on a return visit a couple of weeks later. Irish import Garde Des Champs made a promising start for new connections here in December but has gone backwards and has had wind surgery. Serious Ego is on his lowest ever mark on his 30th start over timber and is no forlorn hope.
