    Verdict

GRAND DIAMOND has been enjoying a new lease of life this season with three wins to his name. Jim Goldie's nine-year-old won one of these events back in June and looks the one to beat again. Sohcahtoa was well beaten the last time he raced in an amateurs' contest but Simon Walker's presence suggests recent Catterick winner Torero is expected to go well. Ravi River went close at Carlisle last week and makes more appeal than Geanie Mac and Lady Gargoyle, who have both been placed at this track recently.
