Verdict
Rocknest Island gets the vote in the finale, with Kyber and Mystified the ones to give him most to do. Patrick McDonald is already making a name for himself over jumps with Ferdy Murphy, but is now starting to pick up rides on the Flat as well, and could be on the winner here in the shape of Rocknest Island. Peter Niven's mare battled her way to victory in workmanlike fashion in a class 5 contest at Catterick last week, and although saddled with a 6lb penalty, has serious claims in this even weaker affair on paper. Kyber will appreciate the step back up in trip, and is still very well handicapped compared to the start of the year, while Mystified returned to the Flat with a fair effort at Southwell, although he never looked like winning. The rest are hard to fancy, and in truth this should rest between the trio mentioned, with the best of them likely to be Rocknest Island.
